Mutual Learning Visit in Grenoble

Grenoble, April 29th-30th 2010

A delegation of researchers, business representatives and regional public officers from the Veneto and Basque Country will visit the Rhône-Alpes nanotechnology cluster to deepen their model and identify possible synergies among the three clusters.

The participants in particular will  visit the MINATEC innovation campus, which is home to 2,400 researchers, 1,200 students, and 600 technology transfer experts on a state-of-the-art 20-hectare campus offering 10,000 square meters of clean room space. An international center for micro and nanotechnologies, the MINATEC campus is unlike any other research facility in Europe.

According to their interest, the members of the delegation will have the possibility to see and visit cutting-edge laboratories such as the nanocharacterisation platform (PFNC)  which develops new physico-chemical characterisation techniques  or CIME Nanotech, the  platform of Nanotechnologies of Grenoble INP and UJF (university) or again the Nanosafety Platform which  focuses on the protection and safety issues inherent to nanomaterial implementation.

Besides for business representatives will be of interest to understand better novel models of  collaborations among industry and university such as the programme launched by the MINATEC IDEAs Laboratory®, which brings together  partners collaborating on innovative projects in tune with social concerns (e.g. energy, mobility, transport and intelligent buildings).

The visit is part of the KEEN-Regions  WP2 (Mutual Learning) activities and it represents a valuable chance for the partners to pave the way for the future consistent relationships.
