EuroNanoForum 2011

30th May to 1st June 2011, Budapest

EuroNanoForum 2011, a biannual event supported by the European Commission and organised within the framework of the Presidency of the European Union, will take place in Budapest from 30th May to 1st June 2011.

For the first time, EuroNanoForum, that in the past events attracted about 1000 participants, is joining forces with another leading European nanotechnology event, Nanotech Europe, to provide a single meeting point for the whole nanotechnology community.

The event will cover the whole life cycle of nanotechnology, from basic research to nanotechnology-enabled products and, in addition, a matchmaking programme and exhibition to maximize opportunities for networking.

EuroNanoForum 2011 calls for scientific, industrial and/or societal contributions that address the following aspects:

  • Science and technology, highlighting world-class research
  • Innovation and business, identifying nanotechnology opportunities and barriers throughout the value chain
  • Society, taking a holistic approach to address societal benefits and risks.

Contributions may be in the form of a presentation or a poster.

Applications for presentations and posters may be submitted until 31 January 2011.

The fully-integrated exhibition wants to show the state of the art technologies and research results from leading research institutes, key industrial actors and high-tech SMEs.

In addition, a dedicated area will be set up for a poster exhibition and an extensive matchmaking programme, enabling attendees to book meetings online in advance with potential research and business partners, is present.
